How it Works
Three Simple Steps
1. Choose your pearls
Browse our pearls and select the ones you would like to gift. At checkout, select the Pearls on Hold option to let us know you will be sending your necklace to us separately. Add a personal gift message in the gift message box before completing your order.
2. We hold them safely
Your pearls are carefully set aside in our care, individually noted and kept safe until your necklace arrives. There is no rush — we have held pearls for several years for those who prefer to accumulate them over time before stringing. Your pearls will be waiting exactly when you need them.
3. Send your necklace to us
When you are ready, complete our Send-In Necklace Form and ship your necklace to us via UPS or FedEx. Once we receive it, our pearl specialists will add your new pearls and return the necklace to you within three to seven business days. We recommend insuring your shipment.
Would you like us to notify the recipient? Simply add a personal message in the gift message box at checkout and we will send them a beautiful note on your behalf.
Frequently Asked Questions
Once your necklace arrives in our care, it typically takes three to seven business days to add your new pearls. Please allow additional time for transit via UPS or FedEx. During November and December times may be a little longer — we will always keep you informed.
Yes — you may keep as many orders on hold as you like. This is a wonderful way to accumulate pearls for multiple occasions or multiple necklaces at once.
As long as you need. We have held pearls for several years for those who are growing their strand one pearl at a time. Your pearls are in safe hands and will be here whenever you are ready.

The shipping charge on a Pearls on Hold order covers the return shipping — the cost of sending your necklace back to you once your new pearls have been added. If you are holding multiple orders, shipping is only charged on your first order. Subsequent Pearls on Hold orders ship at no additional cost.
