Wedding Trends For 2019

With the summer wedding season coming to a close, we have researched some of the looks, venues, and details that you will be seeing throughout the 2019 wedding season.

THE DRESS

For starters, every bride is very different. Every woman has that one look that she is striving for her on her special day. However, as trends change so does a bride’s mind about what she wants her wedding look to be. In the upcoming 2019 wedding season, dresses are going to be intricate, stunning, and colorful (yes we said colorful).

COLOR

Spill a little champagne or drop a bit of frosting? It won’t matter one bit if you’re wearing any dress from Vera Wang’s new 2019 spring collection where every one of her dresses is colored. Colored wedding gowns are growing so rapidly as they give a woman the ability to express herself through color, rather than just design.

REMOVE, ADD, DETACH

Ceremony and reception dress? Why not have 2 in 1. This year designers are providing brides with options to remove sleeve, the skirt, or even to detach the train. This way brides have the ability to walk down the aisle with a classic look and once the ceremony ends; at the reception they can lose these parts when the dance music starts to play. Caroline Herrera, Galia Lahav, and Lela Rose are just a few who have designed gowns like this.

MINIMALIST

A trend that seems to going on everywhere from interior design to lifestyle is making its way to wedding dresses. These looks are simple yet stunning as they will give the bride a very clean look that will not only allow the dress to shine, but will also make her hair and accessories pop.

CAPE

The last trend being shown everywhere is the cape over a traditional veil. We believe this trend has started because most royal brides, including the newest royal Megan Markle have worn cathedral-length veils. These capes give off and air of grace to the bride that a rational veil may not provide. Elie Saab and Reem Acra have come out with this statement accessory for the trendiest of brides.

THE FINISHING TOUCH…

Whether you are wearing a cape, color, or keeping it traditional with your dress there is always room for pearls. Even though it is such a little addition, it can make a big difference in a brides look. Consider an Add-A-Pearl Necklace to enhance the look.

THE VENUE

While hotels and historic venues are still some of the most popular a couple other venues have been on the rise and will continue to be in 2019.

COVERED ROOFTOPS

Incorporating the indoors and outdoors seamlessly at weddings can be tricky. However, covered rooftop venues are able to give guests the best of both worlds, where within a matter of seconds they can choose whether they want to be underneath the stars or sitting comfortably with a roof over their head.

CLEAR TENTS

No couple wants their guests to mistake their venue with a carnival. Although tents will always be a top choice, the type of tent couples are choosing is different from a plain white one. See-through tents are a huge new hit as it allows for more of an elegant look decorated with bright plants and twinkling lights.

COLORS

Silver and chrome are coming to center stage, pushing golds and brighter colors into the background.

Dahlias are going to be one the most popular as they come in many different colors and can be layered into bouquets beautifully.

Small plates and stations. Both of these give way for more options to be served to delight every guest’s palette.
